In June 2011, the European Charter of Medical Ethics was adopted. Since then, the CEOM participants draft Deontological Guidelines. In June 2013, the CEOM adopted its first Deontological Guidelines. These Guidelines have been updated in November 2018 during CEOM Plenary Meeting in Madrid.
