CEOM adopts March 12th as European Day to Fight Violence against Doctors and Health Professionals
During CEOM Plenary Meeting in Lisbon (Portugal) on 29 November 2019, CEOM participants have unanimously adopted March 12th as European Day to Fight Violence against Doctors and Health Professionals. This will be a yearly occasion for all national medical Orders and Associations across Europe to raise awareness and say stop. During the same occasion, CEOM recognized professional burnout as a type of socio-psychological violence that doctors have to face in the workplace. Previously, CEOM has launched its European Observatory on Violence against doctors in Modena (Italy) in 2017 and adopted CEOM Statement on Violence against Doctors and Health Professionals in Madrid (Spain) in 2018.
